Telegram Bot Setup Guide

Learn how to set up Telegram notifications for your Fyndex trading activity.

Overview

Fyndex supports Telegram notifications to keep you informed about your trading activity in real-time. You'll receive alerts for order executions, successes, failures, and cancellations directly in Telegram.

Step 1: Create Your Telegram Bot

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
  2. Start a conversation with BotFather by sending /start
  3. Send /newbot to create a new bot
  4. Follow the prompts to name your bot (e.g., "My Fyndex Notifications")
  5. Choose a username for your bot (must end with "bot", e.g., "my_fyndex_bot")
  6. BotFather will provide you with a Bot Token - save this for later

The Bot Token looks like: 123456789:ABCdefGHIjklMNOpqrsTUVwxyz

Step 2: Get Your Chat ID

  1. Search for @userinfobot on Telegram
  2. Start a conversation with the bot
  3. The bot will immediately reply with your Chat ID (a numeric value)
  4. Save this Chat ID - you'll need it to configure notifications in Fyndex

Your Chat ID is a number like: 123456789

Step 3: Add Telegram Bot to Fyndex

Now that you have your Bot Token and Chat ID, add them to Fyndex:

Step 1: Navigate to API Keys page in Fyndex

Step 2: Enter your Bot Token and Chat ID

  1. Navigate to the Fyndex API Keys page
  2. Click Configure Bot
  3. Enter your Bot Token from Step 1
  4. Enter your Chat ID from Step 2
  5. Click Save Token

Step 4: Customize Notification Events

Navigate to the Telegram Notifications page to customize which events you want to receive notifications for:

  • Order executions
  • Order successes
  • Order failures
  • Order cancellations
  • System events

Important: Copy trading must be started for notifications to be sent. Notifications will only be triggered when copy trading is active.

Enable or disable specific notification types based on your preferences.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications?

  • Verify your Bot Token is correct (no extra spaces)
  • Verify your Chat ID is correct (numeric value only)
  • Make sure you've started a conversation with your bot first
  • Check that notification preferences are enabled in Fyndex
  • Try sending a test notification from Fyndex
